Instrument Care

  1. Keep instruments in a case for protection while not in use or during transportation.
  2. While traveling be mindful of extreme temperature changes.
  3. Do not leave your instrument in a hot or cold vehicle for long periods of time.
  4. Wash your hands before handling or playing your instrument.
  5. Wipe down strings of rosin when you finish playing. Rosin buildup will cake up strings and affect the sound.
  6. Periodically wipe down instrument with a damp cloth soft cloth.
  7. Operate tuning pegs periodically to prevent freezing up in peg box.
  8. Keep back of bridge perpendicular to the top the instrument.
  9. You can replace your own strings, however it is recommended to replace one at a time to maintain the proper bridge location.
